Our Commitment

At Glenn Wright Excavating, we are committed to treating all people with dignity and independence. We believe in integration and equal opportunity, and we are committed to meeting the needs of people with disabilities in a timely manner. We will do so by preventing and removing barriers to accessibility and meeting our accessibility requirements under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).

Accessible Information and Communications

We are committed to making our company information and communications accessible to people with disabilities.

• Website: We strive to maintain a website that conforms to the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA.
• Alternative Formats: Upon request, we will provide business information, billing details, and safety documents in an accessible format or with communication supports that take into account a person's disability. We will consult with the individual to determine their specific needs at no extra cost.

Employment Standards

Glenn Wright Excavating is committed to fair and accessible employment practices across all stages of the employment lifecycle.

• Recruitment: We will notify applicants and the public that accommodations are available upon request during our recruitment, assessment, and hiring processes.*
• Emergency Response: We create individualized workplace emergency response information for employees who require assistance during a site or facility emergency.
• Accommodations & Return-to-Work: We maintain formal, written processes for developing individualized accommodation plans and supporting employees returning to work after a disability-related absence, up to the point of undue hardship.

* Note on Safety: Due to the heavy industrial nature of active construction environments and the operation of heavy machinery, physical and cognitive requirements for specific field roles are evaluated strictly against bona fide occupational safety standards to protect our workers and the public.

Employee Training

We provide mandatory accessibility training to all employees. This training covers the requirements of the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (IASR) and the Ontario Human Rights Code as it pertains to people with disabilities.
